永祥的家庭矛盾随着香港九七回归临近而有所抬头，因为妻子凯迪坚持要移民加拿大，而永祥则觉得暂时不是时候。正当大环境面临着变迁的时候，永祥的公司内部也发生了一场地震。
永祥的配音公司新来了女上司邓铃，并要开除一直以来很照顾永祥的添叔。起初，永祥不相信添叔做了些违反纪律的事情，但是，一次录音事故，却让他不得不怀疑添叔的确在暗处捣鬼。他和邓铃二人在工作中情愫暗生，并化作永祥为公司卖命工作的动力。而不知情的凯迪亦同意先带女儿迁往加拿大。
