故事影片《十二情感》片名的确定，一是来自于心理学关于情感一词的定义和解释。心理学对于情感一词的定义：是指人对于客观事物是否符合自己的需要而产生的态度体验。具体的情感是指人们与社会需要相联系的内心体验，比如爱情、友谊、孤独、郁闷、焦虑、浪漫、无奈、思念、理解、悲伤、痛苦、自我、忧愁、聚合、成就、荣誉、责任、集体、爱国主义等等。人的高级情感有很多种，主要有道德感、美感、和理智感。
