林蕙兰（陈炜 饰）的丈夫在一场意外中不幸身亡，年仅一岁的女儿婷婷亦下落不明，几乎在瞬间，林蕙兰失去了一切。之后，绝望而又痛苦的她和丈夫的好友夏鹏飞（张晨光 饰）走到了一起，殊不知婷婷流浪到了山区，改名换姓被称为明珠（李沁 饰）。
一晃眼二十二年过去，明珠凭借着自己的智慧和努力从山区返回了城市，恰好来到了夏鹏飞所在的公司应聘，并且遇到了曾经青梅竹马的伙伴李超（韩栋 饰），李超深深的爱慕着明珠，却三番五次的遭到了后者的拒绝。夏鹏飞的公司表面看来家大业大，但实际上早因为资金的空缺而濒临破产的边缘。。Somewhere in Myanmar is a forest rich in amber and controlled by the Kachin Independence Army (KIA). Most of its inhabitants work in a mine, digging the earth night and days in the hope of finding the precious ore that will get them out of poverty. But on top of the excruciating hardship of the work, they also have to fear an attack from the army.。
