在一个平凡的小镇，在酒店底层工作的单身妈妈植村洋子（夏川結衣 饰）独自抚养着四个儿女：桃子、光生、美绪和花菜（芦田愛菜 饰）。最小的花菜顽皮可爱，是家中的开心果，不过她也常常觉得自己不受重视，受到委屈后便跑到隔壁的外公（小林稔侍 饰）、外婆（岩下志麻 饰）家里哭鼻子。不久，慈祥的外公去世，外婆的脸上时时挂着落寞的神情。花菜搬到隔壁居住，祖孙俩相依相守，从彼此的身上得到了幸福与快乐。时间倏忽而去，转眼花菜（北乃きい 饰）长大，小小的房子再也无法圈住她的脚步，而外婆则一如既往鼓励着她持续前行…… 本片根据植村花菜的同名原著改编。。A reclusive scientist builds a robot that looks exactly like him to go on a long-term space mission. Since the scientist seems to lack all emotions, he is unable to program them into his automaton, and an eccentric woman is hired to "educate" the robot on human behavior.
