剧本取材于流传在河南的伏羲、女娲神话故事，运用多种中国传统文化元素和现代制作手段，艺术化地演绎了伏羲、女娲的创世神话传说。围绕着盘古开天辟地、创造八卦、女娲炼石补天等传说展开。。Set in 1989, Jake (Harmon), an out-of-work photojournalist who struggles with addiction and a troubled past, takes a job as watchman of a wilderness lodge on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, alongside veteran handyman Sparky (Granger). Jake sets up a darkroom to develop the photos he shoots, which begin to reveal disturbing premonitions of their future.。
